About this Learning Opportunity

In this two day interactive, “hands-on” workshop, Rhonda Murphy shares how she uses AIM to motivate and engage her junior high French as Second Language (FSL) students.  You will visit Rhonda’s classroom to see how she organizes and uses the physical space (furniture, posters, displays, centers, etc.) to create a dynamic, high functioning AIM friendly classroom for up to 30 students with different learning needs and backgrounds.

Rhonda will also show how she meets the Outcomes of the Program of Studies through using this methodology.  She will review what AIM is and how she has made this program work well with her students.  She will also demonstrate how to introduce and reinforce high-frequency vocabulary and grammatical structures to develop high levels of fluency in secondary French students.
