About this Learning Opportunity
As teachers we recognize all students learn differently. Students come to school with a multitude of different learning, social and emotional needs and it is our job as teachers to meet these needs and to enhance the learning capabilities of even the most challenging students. This session will provide you with easy, very practical suggestions for strategies that will help all students in your classroom. The session will be interactive and will be tailored to answer your concerns about how to help your most challenging students, whether they are coded or in the regular program.
About the Facilitator
Gerald Logan has been an educator for over 33 years. His career included the roles of teacher, administrator, educational consultant with central office and Alberta Education. He has taught every grade and most subjects from ECS P. Ed to Chemistry 30. During his time as an administrator he worked with teachers, students and parents to develop strategies and solutions for struggling students. While individuals can struggle, working as a team much more is possible. Gerald retired in June 2013, but continues to work with Alberta's teachers as an Associate Instructor with the ATA and is the President of the Educational Technology Council of the ATA.
