About this learning opportunity

School-based administrators (i.e. Associate/Deputy Superintendents, Principals and FNMI coordinators), parents, families and community members are invited to a second round of First Nations, Métis and Inuit Families, Parents and Communities workshop on engagement hosted by Alberta Education in collaboration with Alberta Regional Consortia.

In the second round of workshops, FNMI Services Branch will provide the provincial roll-up (summary report) of information gathered from the first introductory FNMI Families, Parents and Communities Engagement Workshops held in November of 2010. A community facilitator will assist participants in prioritizing strategies and recommendations identified in the summary report. The information will assist school authorities, FNMI families, parents and communities in determining next steps on engagement. It builds on the foundation created by the Ministry's Business Plan Goal 3 - Success for First Nations, Métis and Inuit Students.
